Stella Insurance partnered with Women’s and Girls’ Emergency Centre (WAGEC) as we recognised our shared desire of empowering women and building gender equality. With 1 in 4 women experiencing some form of violence from an intimate partner we knew this was a movement that we as a business needed to support.
WAGEC exists to create safe futures for women and families. They provide housing and support in times of crisis, creating safety for women and children impacted by homelessness, domestic violence and systemic disadvantage. We work with WAGEC to break the cycles of violence, intergenerational trauma and social disadvantage. Equally, our work with WAGEC addresses the underlying structural causes of domestic and family violence, homelessness, and gender inequality.
